On the occasion of his birthday, Shakespeare is with his entourage in the city. Go on a digital scavenger hunt in the old town of Cologne and discover the Cologne myths and secrets together with Puck, Hamlet and Co. Tünnes and Schäl accompany you on your trip to Shakespeare's world in the Rhine metropolis.
Start your journey through the Jecke Carnival capital, which is known for Kölsch, nonsense and fun, at the Museum of Applied Arts Cologne (Makk) - the only museum of its kind in North Rhine -Westphalia. Because Cologne is also known for its rich cultural landscape and every corner carries exciting stories! There is a lot to discover: museums, theater, sculptures and monuments are just a small selection, hardly a street was spared art and legends. Everywhere you will come across small puzzles, stories and this year also for the well -known figures from Shakespeare's works. Help them complete the bones of their master and to celebrate a lavish birthday party at the cathedral - the Cologne landmark par excellence! And by the way, you earn a few camels!
Will in Town was developed by students from the Institute for Media Culture and Theater as well as the Institute for Historical-Cultural Science Information Processing at the University of Cologne, in cooperation with the Theater Science Collection Schloss Wahn and in the course of the exhibition A Party for Will! of the Museum of Applied Arts Cologne.
