Radio America Is The Oldest of The Hispanic Stations in Washington
WCLM, Radio América 900 am is a radio station that originates a signal in Wheaton, Maryland and transmits from the city of Laurel in the same state. It is the only Hispanic property station and operated by Hispanos that serves this growing Hispanic community. Its owner, Alejandro Carrasco has been listed as "The voice of the radio in Spanish" by the Washington Post and produces/conducts the oldest Hispanic program in the area "heating the morning" (31 years in 2018). Radio América informs, educates, empowers and entertains the Hispanic community of the capital of the United States.
