Bouyomi

A manga reader, downloader, and update checker

Bouyomi is a manga reader without any unnecessary style. As a result, it's stable and simple with only a little over 5,000 lines of code. Originally written for personal use, it doesn't advertise or collect data.

Main features include:

* Remote and local storage

* Periodic update checks, if enabled

* Update notifications, if enabled

* Recent update list

* Configurable page and swipe orientations

* Multiple hosts to choose from

* Lossy and lossless compression for local storage

* Color inversion (effectively a dark theme), if enabled

Bouyomi is open-source, licensed under the GPLv3, and hosted on GitLab.

Added a "stitcher" reader that stitches pages into one long/tall page more appropriate for some web comics
Substantially improved catalog read speeds
Images exceeding the device's maximum dimensions are now scaled to fit, allowing such images to actually be displayed now
Targeted SDK version 29 and switched to AndroidX (has no functional effect)
Various microscopic bug fixes
